You can come and visit us with using either public transport or by renting a car.

Public transport

You can either catch a train or a bus to Mikkeli and continue from there with a bus to Puumala.

From Puumala centrum, we can organize a shuttle service for you to our reception. The drive is about 15-20 minutes. Shuttle service takes you to the reception, waits for you to check-in and drives you to your cottage. The cost is 50 € one-way including max. 3 passengers and their luggage. If you need to grocery shopping during your holiday, we can organize a shopping trip for you to Puumala centrum. A car will pick you up from your cottage, drive you to Puumala centrum, wait for you to do your shopping and drive you back to the cottage. This costs total 100 euros.

Please order the shuttle service at least 7 days prior to your stay with us. The distance between Puumala centrum and our reception is 9 kilometers. Depending on the cottage, the distance between reception and your cottage is 2-5 kilometers.

Renting a bike from Puumala

Renting a car

You can rent a car from any of the nearby cities with railway stations: Mikkeli, Lappeenranta or Savonlinna. The drive time from these cities is from 1h 15 minutes to 1h 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can also rent a car from Helsinki-Vantaa airport if you are arriving here straight after your flight. The drive time from the airport to here is from 3h 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the traffic.
